at The Mark Wentworth Home

The Mark Wentworth Home believes in a holistic approach to help seniors achieve optimal aging. We offer our residents support and programs focused on the many dimensions of wellness as well as overseeing their medical needs.

Wellness Dimensions:

  • Physical fitness—exercise programs and nutritional programs for general
    well being
  • Emotional health—support groups and other programs that help residents cope
    with stress
  • Social wellness—recreational events and other programs that encourage friendships and personal interaction
  • Intellectual wellness—stimulating workshops, projects, games and educational programs to stay intellectually engaged
  • Spiritual wellbeing—religious and other spiritual services and programs to foster personal growth in a way that is meaningful to each individual

Oversight of Medical Needs:

  • Medication supervision and monitoring
  • Support plans to help meet each individual's needs as identified by a
    functional assessment
  • Management of healthcare by a licensed nurse
  • Assistance with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Emergency response

Levels of Service:

To maximize each individual's potential and to best serve their needs, The Mark Wentworth Home uses objective assessment tools to place residents into the following assisted living service levels.


Assisted Living Level 1

Residents are active and interested in participating in social events and programs. Typically, residents suited for this plan find it difficult to function optimally if living independently. Mobility may be somewhat restricted or recent health issues may lead to a need for temporary or periodic health monitoring and assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming or toileting. The Entry-level plan includes general supervision in a supported environment and/or some assistance with cueing, oversight, or encouragement with activities of daily living and medication supervision.

Assisted Living Level 2

Residents can generally participate in most activities of daily living. These residents may need encouragement to participate in social and wellness programs and events. Level 2 plan includes supervision in a supported environment with moderate assistance with activities of daily living as well as medication supervision.
